Overview

MA600 Professional Stereo Power Amplifier

The MA series shares the power ladder and the circuit family of the CA series and changes the look: a silver and blue faceplate instead of the black one. It covers 600 W to 1500 W per channel at 8 Ω, with up to 4800 W in bridge mode.

The electrical ratings are the same: ≥110 dB signal to noise, ≥80 dB separation, a damping factor of ≥800 at 8 Ω, an 80 V/us slew rate and THD+N below 0.01% at 8 Ω / 1 kHz (below 0.05% on the MA600). DC, short circuit, over temperature and soft start protection is built in.

MA models are slightly lighter than their CA counterparts (25 kg against 25.5 kg for the 1000 W model), which makes the series a good fit when a project specifies the silver front panel across several rooms.

The MA600 is one of the power steps of the series: 2 × 600 w into 8 ω, 2 × 960 w into 4 ω, 1920 w bridged, 21 kg in a 2U chassis measuring 89 × 483 × 472 mm. It shares the circuit, the protection design and the measured performance of the rest of the MA Series, so the choice inside a series comes down to output power and chassis height.

Power ratings follow the EIA standard and are measured with a 40 ms pulse of a 1 kHz sine wave at 1% total harmonic distortion.
